In just two days, the biggest feast of oral history begins in Krakow – the 23rd International Oral History Association Conference. We are expecting nearly 400 participants from 55 countries around the world, making this a truly global event.

For four days, from September 16 to 19, we will listen to one another and engage in meaningful debate on difficult topics in a world increasingly shaped by conflict and disinformation. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, all plenary sessions will be streamed live on our association’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@PTHM_POHA

Recordings will later be available to watch on the PTHM website. We invite you to follow the live coverage and stay connected via our Facebook page, where we will share updates and photos from the conference: https://www.facebook.com/historiamowiona

The full event program and key information are available on the conference website: https://ioha2025.conference.pl/ We encourage you to explore the site and familiarize yourself with the details.

The event is financed from the Polish state budget by the Minister of Science and Higher Education as part of a project entitled: Organization of the scientific conference Re-Thinking Oral History (23rd International Oral History Association Conference) at the Jagiellonian University.
